1.  Why did eVetsite Systems come out with a whole new website builder instead of just continuing to upgrade this nice one we use now?
A -  Over the last 3 years we have had many requests for new features and suggestions for improvements.  Our "rate of delivery" for these new features, and for the many more we have planned for you required that we migrate to a new and more versatile system.

2.  Will eVetsite II cost us more?
A - No. While our cost to host and maintain the new eVetsite II websites has increase substantially, the subscription fees we charge will remain the same.  The rate at which we are adding new users each month helps us offset the new costs.

3.  Do we have to transfer to eVetsite II ?
A - No, you can decide to transfer now, maybe transfer later on in the future. But we anticipate most everyone will want to use the new features at some point in the future.

4.  Will you continue to support the eVetsite I websites?
A - Yes we will continue to support the eVetsite I sites for the foreseeable future.

5.   Will we need to start over again with a new website?
A. Yes.  The new eVetsite II is not a "seamless upgrade"  or "software update"; it is a totally new system that works on the same principle you are familier with in eVetsite I.  Consequently, all of your present site content that you wish to retain will need to be transferred to the new file system.

6. Why don't you just do the transfer for everyone at one time?
      A. 1- Each website is different, there is no easy way to preserve your unique site in a "mass migration". 
     "It's Your Site",  and we intend to keep it that way.

      A. 2- In order to cover our cost for for labor, we would have to charge everyone an increase in regular subscription fees (raise our prices).  This hardly seems fair to those who choose to stay with their present website for now (or in the future).

7.   Will you provide assistance to transfer our website content for us?
A.  Yes.  We will be offering custom transfer services (at cost) based on the number of pages you need transferred (see more details on the transfer form).

8.  Will the new websites look just like our present websites?
A.  After we did a survey of our  present users sites, we selected the most popular site styles and colors  for the design on the new eVetsite II's.  We also intend to add new site styles each month as we continue to add new benefits and features to our services. Custom site styles and colors will also be available in eVetsite II

9.  Will our site structructure (page layout) be the same?
A. Yes, we will recreate the present pages you want transfed. The new feature pages will be available (hidden, or "not published") for you to choose from and place anywhere within your transfered pages.

10.  Can we do the transfer ourselves?
A.  Yes you can.  For the most part it will be a repetitive  <copy> and <paste> routine to move your website text content.  Images and document files will have to be saved to your hard drive and uploaded into your new eVetsite II Gallery.  After you transfer the page layouts into the new page, the images must be re-anchored from their new gallery location. 

11.   How do we sign up for the transfer and/or request assistance?
A.  We will have a special form for you to sign up for the transfer process where you can elect to proceed on your own or request our transfer assistance.

12.   How much time will we have to transfer our website content on our own?
A.   During the transfer process you will actually have two websites so you can keep a current site published.  Naturally we want everyone to make the transfer in a timely manner.  Anyone who retains two websites for more than 30 days will be charged for a second website at our standard monthly rate.

13.   Will it be possible to return to our present website if we need (or desire) to remain in eVetsite I? 
A.  We will retain your original eVetsite files during the transfer process in case you want to return to eVetsite I for any reason. 

13.  Do we have to get a new domain name or pay for a domain transfer?
A.  No, not  as long as we manage your domain name.  For domain names not under our management, users will have to re-set their "A" record settings to point to our new servers from their own individual registrars, and set up and manage their own webmail if we do not manage the domain name at Network Solutions.

14.  Will the email system (with our domain name you manage) change if we transfer over to eVetsite II?
A.  Yes. We have contracted with a more advanced  and versatle email system as well.  Your email addresses can all remain the same.  The new eMail system will only be available for domain names that we manage at Network Solutions unless other arrangements are made in advance.

15.  Will we have to learn new procedures to work in the new eVetsite II web builder?
A. Yes, but the new interface is much more open and intuitive.  We also have new FLASH tutorials and extensive online documentation support for you.  Once you get the "hang of it" it's a MUCH easier, faster and more versatile way to build your websites.  That's another reason we made the decision to introduce this new system.
